Award

The new Law Courts in Paris, designed by the Renzo Piano agency, win the Equerre d'Argent, the most prestigious prize for Architecture in France

Le Moniteur, France's leading specialist magazine for the building and architecture sector, has just awarded its 35th Équerre d'argent ("silver bracket") award to Italian architect Renzo Piano for the new Paris Law Courts, which are scheduled to open next April.

RFR is proud to have participated in designing this building alongside Renzo Piano.
Our assignment consisted in designing all the façades (approx. 70,000 m²) and the special structures such as the panoramic lift, the photovoltaic solar panels fixed to the façades, the wing walls that prolong them, the entrance canopy and the poles extending the building volumes, giving depth and accentuating the relief effect.
