Progression of the project of the new AgroParisTech forum

The facades and canopies' prototypes for the new AgroParisTech campus have been delivered

Designed by architects Marc Mimram and Jean Baptiste Lacoudre, this new campus of 65,000m² located in Palaiseau consists of eight separate buildings, and a 2-hectare park in the heart of the site. The campus will welcome 3,500 students for the new academic year of September 2021.

The overall design is made of glass and transparencies. The entrance building, the Forum, a real showcase of the project, is composed of a large bioclimatic glass canopy that recalls the design of the experimental greenhouses. The double facade as well as the exterior glazing are treated in shell. The glazing of the canopies is insulated and made in single foliage. The metal structure is entirely made of welded and reconstituted tubular profiles.

Aiming for HQE certification at an excellent level, the project will highlight a traditional material that is not used very often in major Parisian projects: a full hand-molded brick on almost 20 000 m² of façade, thus reminding of the buildings of Agroparistech on rue Claude Bernard in Paris and on Grignon (78).

This project is carried out under a global design-build-operate-maintain and service contract with a duration of 30 years.
